Trek Training

Our family is doing a family trek this summer at Martin's Cove.  Lex and I went to a training there.  I was so amazing, we are so excited to go back in July.

Ty was such a trooper, he loved his backpack.

Silent river crossing, to remember those that crossed in the Martin and Willie Handcart companies.  Lex crossed, I held Ty and took pictures.

The training was such a spiritual experience.  I can't imagine what the real trek will be like.

I went for a pedicure before our trip to Utah.  The cute ladies offered to paint Clara's toes and nails.  Afterward the charged me $15!  WE AREN'T GOING THERE AGAIN.

Easter Weekend

We started out Easter Weekend coloring eggs.

We went on a hike to train for Trek this summer, and because it's fun.  Ty got a carrier and loved it.

Tenant Ranch

 

One of Lex's customers owns a ranch near Camp Crook, SD.  We were able to go and spend the day there.  It is lambing season so we were able to see lambs being born and hundreds of babies.  A lot of sheep have had triplets this year and so the third gets pulled off and bottle fed.  These two are a couple days old and really small, the family is keeping them at their house.  The kids loved to play with them.  They have about 2400 sheep and 300 cows all busy having babies.  The ranch is 20,000 acres.  Let's jus say Lex and I are a little jealous.

The lamb was really curious about Ty, until Ty kept grabbing his legs and face.  He even tried to share his binki, but the lamb still didn't want to hang around.
