Custer State Park

We went to Custer State Park last weekend with some friends.  They were having a free openhouse to kick of the season.  We had a free pancake breakfast, hayride, fishing and lots of other stuff we didn't have time for.  We also learned that Clara gets carsick, especially when she hasn't eated breakfast yet.  We will never skip a meal in the morning for her again.

Meg and Clara ready for horse ride.  We almost feel like traitors ridin non-Arabian horses, but when your desperate you'll do anything.  Even wear helmets.

Clara's pony, Penny

We weren't desperate enough to acutally pay for horse rides.  Only kids 6 and under were free, Anna and Lex got to ride the bench.

Fishing on Legion Lake

This is the only fish our family caught, but amongst all the families there we were able to have a good fresh trout appetizer for lunch.

One of our favorite things to see, all the baby animals in the park.

This was the hugest bull we have ever seen.  It was about 5 feet from our car, its head was as big as Daddy Lex's torso.
