Ty Kenneth McCormick

After 15 hours of labor and 4 hours of pain Ty finally made it into the world.  He was the hardest delivery for mom and dad by far.  He took twice as long as the rest and gave his mom a lot of trouble.  Mom wouldn't dilate and finally when they broke the water we know that she would dilate.  There was so much water that surely that was holding him back.  However hours later the problem hadn't resolved, the nurses figured out that his face was turned to the left instead of down so that was what was holding him back.  Mom had to get into a bunch of crazy positions to try and get Ty to move, but he wouldn't.  By this time the epidural stopped working on the right side and Mom was in a lot of pain.  We continued to be patient and Mom actually had to concentrate on breathing and making it through each contraction.  Finally after 14 hours Mom was dilated to a 9, but the pain had intensified and the nurse told mom she had to start pushing to get to a 10.  Mom pushed for almost an hour and finally he started to come.  The doctor showed up and so did Ty after one final scream.  Mom was a little embarressed to scream at a delivery but sometimes things have to happen.  What a sigh of relief.  Ty entered the world at 10:52 pm on Monday, October 17th, 2011.

He's our biggest yet, but still perfect.

Finally Lex has a brother.

Heading home

Ty's first rattle

Grandma J gave Ty his first bath.  We are so grateful that she could come and help the week Ty was born.  We couldn't have done it without her help.

He has lots of hair, it's a little curly too.

Ty is watching his first BYU football game with Grandma J and Papa
